Results for 26th June 2013 - Course: K11/10D Onley

This was our second visit to this course which takes riders up and down Braunston Hill. However a strong tail wind on the outward leg proved to be a serious problem on the return and all times suffered as a result. David Newton secured a narrow win from David Lane who was making his first appearance of the season in a club event. There were a few riders who managed impressive times, with suggestions that they might have mistakenly turned at the first island, instead of the Timken island, while Alan James made the opposite error, proceeding to the third island! There was also a visit from a slim-line Chris Lodge, on holiday from his new home in Switzerland, riding as a private entry. There was one DNF, that was Simon Bayliss who had a spectacular rear tyre blowout after just 2 miles.
