Results for 22nd September 2013 - Course: KH35 Newnham Hill Climb

Perfect conditions for our hill climb and fully justified bringing the event forward on the calendar. With this event the usual time trialling form does translate to the short, sharp, shock of hill-climbing and is more a case of power-to-weight ratio (and youth!) With both of these in his favour 16-year old Ryan Kenworthy retained his title of club hill climb champion and even lowered the record he set last year by 5 seconds. Credit also to second placed Simon Mitchell who also finished inside last year's record time. With 30 riders taking part (another recent record) everyone should be congratulated for just attempting the hill - certainly as good a health check as anything the NHS can devise!

For the record the hill is 900m long (0.558 miles), elevation 59.7m (195.9 ft), average gradient 6.6% (1 in 15), max gradient 15% (1 in 6.7).

  Dist: 0.558 miles
