Results for 2nd July 2008 - Course: K11/10T Thurlaston

A spell of sunshine makes all the difference, attracting 42 riders to our second event on the new Thurlaston course. The course has the potential to produce some fast times, although a strong cross-wind did riders no favours. Once again James Heaton topped the list, with Hywel Davies close behind. Russell Green blitzed the handicap, his recent improvement coming from a new bike, skinsuit, helmet, and of course a boost in fitness. Unfortunately the other Russell, Russell Morris, incurred an expensive lock-up of his rear mech, forcing a long walk to the finish. Riders who admitted to PBs were Steve Bond, Dave Kimberley, Russell Green, Amrit Singh and Eliot Blundell, although there were others who probably hadn't realised. Welcome to new member Mike McCann having ridden in six of our events in this, his first season in time trialling.
