Results for 13th August 2008 - Course: K11/10 Long Lawford

With some of the quicker riders not competing due to holidays and work commitments, Craig Sterrett headed the list, although Phil Scott gave him a close run. It was back to standard Lawford weather, with showers and blustery wind - probably to be expected in April, but not quite August conditions. The result was that no one was likely to break any records and the handicap results confirm this, with only Brendan Meghen breaking his "par" 20 minute net time. There was some confusion where a group of four riders finished close together, with the written results getting slightly mixed up - writing in a plastic bag doesn't help (excuses) - but later analysis of the print-out was able to establish the correct times. Welcome to Stefan Cuschieri who joined the club to ride our open and rode his first club time trial - he must be the first to do it that way round! Progress report on John Tinkler - he's doing fine, but just taking things easy for now.
